You need to try their hand battered onion rings and the French dressing for salads is home made, quite unique. The soup and salad bar is a home town favorite. My husband enjoys the all you can eat friend fish
Food wasn't bad at all. But you could tell it was run by teens when we went. The hostest seemed lost when getting my highchairs and she sat us in a raised booth that both my twins didn't fit. But overall it was good
Worst experience ever! waited 45 minutes and food never came then when I got up and found someone and asked what was going on was told that our order never got placed. And the kid that I talked to said it wasn't his problem. Never going back
We sat on the waitress side and could not get a waitress even after asking a waitress to be helped she still helped people that came in after us. So we got up and switched sides to the phone order side and nobody picked up the phone to place our order. And it was not busy either....not impressed.
I would rate zero stars if that was an option. This was the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten. The Dutch lack some serious flavor to their food. Maybe it’s a cultural thing? I don’t know. We were excited to try Russ’s since it is a local favorite and we moved to Holland from Chicagoland. The set up is very unique. They have a phone at your table that you pick up to place an order. We love old, classic diners like this but not here. The food tasted worse than hospital food or McDonald’s. Most likely microwaved, poor quality, zero flavor, bland, and grade z meat. I was afraid I’d get sick just from the smell. Another review compared the taste to geriatric food. Which, ironically is exactly the right name for it. I’m besides myself that anyone would pay for this food too! Skip this place and try another restaurant for food or stay home and cook a delicious meal yourself.
