Great food, amazing "appetizer" chips and salsa. Fast service, and good drink options.
So I just got finished cooking dinner for my family after we walked out after waiting almost an hour for our food. We were seated at 6:36, I remember the time because my oldest was watching the time change on the display of the phone on the hostess stand. We left at 7:35. We ordered our drinks and food all at once and the waitress asked if we wanted it all at the same time, we said yes, because we had ordered some of the happy hour appetizers for kids food. It was busy, we had hungry kids and know what we like there so it was easiest to just order that way. We got our drinks and one of the happy hour appetizers shortly after, and went through three baskets of chips and turning down a forth while we watched all the tables sat after us received their appetizers and then dinners. At this point the kids were beyond restless and we looked at time realizing it really had been as long as it felt. After flagging down the manager that was going around "checking" on tables and asking for the check for the couple of items we received he acted confused that we hadn't gotten our food and said he'd be right back. He sent our server back to which she apologized and let us know it wasn't her fault and didn't even bring a check with her or a status of the food. I had already started to walk away after packing up the kids so my husband handed her $10 to cover the apps we got and she said thanks all excited like she was getting tipped for nothing. Worst handling of bad service I've had, and I work in the industry. So much for mom having a night off in the kitchen
Food and service were good. The place was clean and well lit. Prices were fair and the food was tasty, but not not anything to write home about. Portions were plentiful and the all you want rice, beans and chips and salsa were an added bonus.
My only gripe is the flies that seemed to plague the restaurant wouldn't leave us alone. Very gross. Not sure why they have so many flies in an indoor establishment, but it's hard not to notice them. Especially while eating the 5 stars worth of food.
The white fish was amazing! Great atmosphere and decor. Stopped in for a dinner on my business trip and was very pleased. My only negative would be it is very hard to get the attention of the bartender and I ate at the bar. She was extremely nice but very busy... I think she could use a little support.
To go order. It was ready late, waited about 10 extra minutes, but the order was correct. Extra chips and salsa thrown in and the food tasty. Good quality, especially for take out. Traveled well and good value.
