This is a family-owned business. Which I took a lot of peoples advice to go to Vandamme's to buy a used car. I bought a 2014 Chevy traverse from them. When first driving this car I asked Ron Vandamme I think something is wrong with the transmission it is shifting funny. He then informed me he says wall that is the six speed transmission in the Chevy traverse they do that. So once he said that me and my wife said we'll think about it. So my wife and I went home that night and we said wow maybe he is right. So we went back the next day and we purchased this 2014 Chevy traverse. Come to find out we should have never took his advice about this. A couple days later John VanDam called me and asked me how do you like the car and I explained to him about the transmission. And yes he was very nice about it he says I will get a hold of the Chevy dealer and we will get it looked at. Which we said okay so we brought it to the Chevy dealer and come to find out the transmission was bad in this vehicle. What was wrong with it is the fourth fifth and sixth shifting gear in the transmission were bad. The dealer found this out from testing the transmission fluid which was burt. VanDam auto sales says they go through a check before they sell these vehicles. With this happening I highly doubt that they checked everything on their vehicles that they have on their lots. Because if they did this the vehicle should have never been on their lot to sell. With me asking the question two `times to Ron Vandam. about the transmission this vehicle should have went to the dealership before selling to us. I will never make this mistake again by taking the word from the sales person about a transmission problem. I am sorry to say but I would highly recommend not buying a vehicle from VanDam auto sales. I was without my vehicle for over two weeks. Which the dealership did give me a nice rental car with my car being down which was nice. One other thing there was another issue with this car prior to me bringing in for the transmission. After a week with us having this vehicle the front rotors we're bad on this vehicle. Which I will have to say VanDam did fix this problem for us but they did not put brand-new rotors. On the car they just turned the warp out of the rotors. Which did not make me very happy that that is all they did they'd never put brand-new rotors on which I feel they should have. So with this all being said I would highly recommend not buying a vehicle from VanDam autosales. With my experience it seems to me as there was something shady going on when I purchased this vehicle. To me I feel that they are only in for it for the money. Not the value of the cars they put on their lot. So I would highly recommend not buying a used vehicle from VanDam autosales. So with that all being said I am now stuck with a vehicle that is going to show on Carfax that this transmission has been replaced in this vehicle. So with this being said VanDam got their auto sale and I got a bad vehicle in return. So I hope my review answer some of your questions about VanDam autosales. Thank you.
After getting under the truck just recently, I didn't see an auxiliary transmission cooler which seemed weird for any vehicle with a tow packaged. After doing some more research, turns out the truck did not come with the tow package option but only the factory hitch option. Thus my 3 star rating.
Bought a 2015 F150 from them a couple weeks ago. Nice truck, low pressure, and a good price. They even sent my new plate in the mail in a timely fashion without having to follow up countless times.
By the way, Fords historical tow ratings are impossible to understand if you don't have the tow/max tow options. Their window sticker lookup website no longer works if you're not a dealer. So you're left to the knowledge of the dealer to get it right.
My wife is very happy with her new Tahoe. Staff was professional, straight-forward, low pressure, and had good communication. Clean vehicle for a reasonable price. Would defintely recommend.

However, when buying the truck my wife asked about it having the tow package and that it was a requirement. They confirmed that they ran the VIN and that it did indeed have it. It had a factory hitch and the 7/4 way connector so I thought nothing of it.
