A nice little park and beach. Was there during 4th of July and it was quite crowded even for arriving at 6pm. If you don't mind crowded beaches, there was still plenty of room to stretch out and catch some sun. The play area for the kids is a nice touch to the park. I really enjoyed the whole setup of the park, especially the two pathways to the beach to get past the ridge separating the parking lot from the beach. The lookout was a great spot to relax and watch the surrounding views.
It's been close to 20 years since I was last year. As an adult it seems much smaller then it did ad a child. It is still a beautiful place though. Great view and a great beach. Just a great place to rest and relax and see Lake Michigan.
Nice small park. It was unique. Please remover to pick up your trash before you leave the beach. Leave the environment cleaner then when you got there for other to enjoy for lifetimes to come.
I've been going here since I was a child. I absolutely LOVE the view over the lake from here. The sunsets and even the night sky bring so much happiness. A few of us friends went there to watch the moon and we felt at ease, sitting by the water. It, of course, gets pretty crowded during the summer months, but there are few to nine that don't get busy when it's warm out.
Overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience.
Overall I'd give it 4 stars. No real faults just doesn't feel 5 star worthy. Would I return? Yes I would.
A great beach, although always busy. They have picnic tables, grills, showers, and bathrooms. The huge sand hill for the kids to run down is a great way for kids to get their energy out. The playground for the kids is very nice. The tunnel leading to the beach is a fun place to walk through. Overall one of our favorite beaches to bring the kids in the summer!
My suggestion to the park owners is to clean up a bit of the debris on the sand and spray the grassy area to eliminate the ticks. The sign warning of ticks, though helpful, is not something you want to see when planning to setup for a picnic. I couldn't help but constantly think of the ticks.
