Very cool place. Lots of schools do field trips here. There are trails, a catch and release fishing pond. A true to it's name, nature center. Dogs are permitted on some trails with a leash. But there are certain areas, where dogs are prohibited. There are live animal areas, as well indoor areas with wild animal mounts. A very cool place to visit, just for a hike, or to learn about or local wildlife. Great for all ages!

Awesome place for kids to see animals up close! My kids loved it.

The Center is basically a haven for stuffed animal heads. This made it very difficult to explain to an animal loving four year old. There was one great/unigue piece with a full bodied cougar and bear in action fighting over a fish. It gave purpose to their preservation. The trails are nice and there's a special area for children. Staff was friendly but the Center needs more diversity in hands-on displays and less animal heads. Programs offered for area residents sound interesting but we were passing thru.

This is a great place for walking around and seeing a lot of informative displays. They also have many cool outdoor learning and play spaces.

We discovered this place while on a vacation to Grand Haven. We are so glad we came across it. My kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor areas. There were nice walking trails and plenty for the kids to play on outside. We also really like the Birds of Prey area and got to see an employee training the younger bald eagle to eat while standing on her gloved forearm. There are bathrooms at the visitor center and a room for kids to read, play games, and make discoveries. There is also a picnic area outside.
