Phoned with an emergency (abscessed tooth) at approx 11am on a Saturday 12/30. Very nice receptionist made a same day appointment for me. This was to be the only good experience with the office. I have a gastric neurostimulator (pacemaker) and must be very very careful with any imagining machines including radiograph's. Tried to explain this to the dentist as well as made him aware that he could call the manufacturer to verify the imaging issues (he did not), he commented on the amount of medications I was on, and that I am a diabetic. Tried again to discuss the issue with taking radiograph's and requested that they only take a radiograph of the affected portion of my mouth to minimize exposure. He became, I felt, quite condescending and told me that he refused to treat my one tooth without a full set of x-rays including my whole mouth. I was in such pain I gave in but asked for a couple of lead aprons to ensure that the area where my neurostimulator is located would be fully covered. I was given 2 small lead aprons that barely covered me all the way around my abdomen. The dentist then performed a quick exam where he tapped my affected tooth and the ones on either side which was horribly painful. He then proceeded to tell me that I required an extraction of the affected tooth but he would not perform the procedure because of my diabetes, gastric stimulator, and amount of medications that I am prescribed and stated that I was quote, a "liability". I was in so much pain at this point that I offered to sign a liability waiver if he would just please, please, help me. He firmly stated no and that he would refer me to a oral surgeon although they were all closed for the New Years holiday and would not open for 2-3 more days.He did write a prescription for an antibiotic. End of appointment (approx. 30-45 minutes). To add insult to injury so to speak they then proceeded to charge me full price although his actions and words seemed to dictate that he never planned on treating me to begin with. Additionally while filling out my paperwork in the lobby my husband and I overheard the receptionist take a phone call from what sounded like someone else who was in distress but could not pay. From what we over heard it sounded like they had called before. I was originally impressed with how she handled the call (I worked for medical offices for over 20 years before retiring). I was impressed until she ended the call and her and the dental hygienist proceeded to chuckle about the phone call. In the end I was seen, on an emergency basis by another dentist who lived in Grand Rapids but owned a dental practice in Holland on Butternut Drive. He had to retake my radiograph to get a clearer view but only took 1 view of the affected area while supplying me with ample coverage of my neurostimulator using extra lead aprons. He then very gently examimed my teeth. He extracted the tooth, with very little to no pain, then took the time to discuss with me a plan for future care of my oral hygiene that would help save as many teeth as possible (due to health issues my teeth are not in good condition). My emergency was very professionally and efficiently taken care of with both respect and care but NOT AT REDI DENTAL. I will never go back there and will recommend that no one else does either.

The staff was super help. They were able to see us on Saturday.

Thank u all for getting me in so quickly and making me so comfortable!!

This says they are open on the weekends but THAT IS NOT TRUE! I was hoping to have a very painful tooth pulled and i got there early and waited but no one ever showed up. You call them and they say they are not open on fridays, saturdays, or sundays. This is very disappointing and it was a waste of my time.

If you are considering this practice. Do it. I have never reviewed anything on google before.. but Im going to now, just because of how great they are. Kind, compassionate, work with you and know their stuff. Really great office. And weekend walk in apptmts. Very nice doctor.
