Also this information is different online and on their pamphlet. Their pamphlet told us they didn't require a physical Birth Certificate and that a passport would suffice....well nope, that's wrong at all.
So unhelpful. Went to apply for a marriage license online, tried to go in to finish the process.
Didn't help that the clerk we dealt with had a heart colder than Ice and a huge attitude problem and wasn't helpful when we were clearly confused. I had to walk back three separate times to get information that she could have clearly stated to us the first time.
So glad that we hopefully never have to deal with their office again! Thanks for making a happy time for us turn sour.
Found out from my home county you only need a license. However Ottawa DOES require a physical birth certificate, SSN Card, and License. They will NOT accept a passport in lieu of the Birth Certificate.
