Stopped in on our way home traveling back to Indiana from Shelby, MI to get a specialty Michigan beer and had lunch while there. While the prices are definitely not discount, the selection of local specialty beers, according to my boyfriend, is excellent. The cafe lunch we had was excellent as well. I had an albacore tuna swiss melt with chopped cucumbers on whole wheat which I thought was delicious. A little greens might be a good addition to that sandwich but it was really tasty as is. My son had a personal pepperoni pizza which he inhaled quickly, telling me it was quite good. Lastly, my boyfriend had the turkey club on a marbled rye, which he liked very much. Prices on the deli items weren't much more than eating fast food but I felt was much healthier and satisfying. Everything on the menu was made to order. We'd definitely stop by again for a bite (and a few beers to go) if we were ever in the area again.
Nice selections...if you can find your way around. No signs or selection labels. Wines on display with no price. Found what I was looking for but not without wandering around for a while. Frustrating! Nobody offered to help.
The staff is friendly and professional. Just ordered a French dip from the deli and it was great. I have also ordered pizza from kings cove deli and it was great.
